ARLES
(Letters to van Gogh)

In countless letters to his brother Theo, Vincent van Gogh describes his struggle for art. Dated from 1873 to van Gogh’s death in 1890, these letters give an authentic and moving proof of the painter’s life and passion.

Van Gogh lived in Arles from February 1888 to May 1889; creating many of his most beautiful and renowned paintings in that period.

The 12 EARTHS of this project were collected at the 12 locations in and around Arles where van Gogh painted the selected 12 masterpieces.

The works of the Arles project pay tribute to one of the greatest artist ever living on earth.

Die Arbeiten des ARLES-Projekts sind eine Hommage an einen der größten Künstler, die je auf Erden weilten.
