In autumn 1989, just  before the dictatorship in East Germany  came to an ende, I excavated 9 SOILS at the foot of the Berlin Wall, at the west side, around the Potsdamer Platz.
In the meantime some terragraphics have gone lost. Therefore this early project can be presented in a fragmentary form only.

From the photographs taken during this process, I developed a series of unique silkscreen and composite prints.
