It is believed that these indigenous people have lived on the shores of Lake Eyasi in Tanzania for more than 3,000 years, although their history is difficult to trace. Similar to other local tribes, particularly the Masai, they value cattle farming highly and use it for their livelihood. The Datoga people are traditionally nomadic, often moving around the vast region, herding their cattle and using their ancient farming skills wherever they settle.
