Yellow grass covered every inch of Sacramento valley when we left the green mountains of Lassen National Forest and  Feather River Canyon yesterday. 
In the midst of this incredibly hot, hard, dry yellow winter desert full of rocks I dug up this EARTH at the bottom of a hill.
